Our Marula Oil Serum has been formulated to promote soft, radiant skin. It is best used after cleansing, gently massaged into face and neck, to protect skin from dehydration, while encouraging skin rejuvenation and reducing inflammation.

Our Serum contains carefully-selected, highly sought after plant oils that are blended together to form a potent, anti-aging, softening, calming, and moisturizing skin treatment. We’ve added pure, precious essential oils, each selected for their calming and nourishing properties, providing a delicate, Neroli-Rose infused scent.

Our Marula Oil Face Serum features pure Marula oil at over 94% along with other skin nourishing vegetable oils and essential oils.

The key ingredient in our Marula Oil Serum, Marula Oil, is produced from nuts harvested from trees growing across a wild swath of East Africa from Kenya into Tanzania. The nut is inside a delicious edible fruit that contains high amounts of vitamin C as well as other antioxidants. Women harvest the fallen fruit, removing it to use to make juice, jams, and a marula liqueur.

After the fruit is removed, the nuts are sun dried. To get to the oil-rich kernel, the nut casing must be cracked and the kernel carefully inspected and separated. This difficult job is done by hand-cracking each shell. The shells are very hard and the kernels are small.

The kernels are processed in small batches by pressing and filtering the oil using high quality presses and filtering equipment to ensure quality and sterility.

Of all the uses of the Marula, it is the oil that has brought spiritual status to the tree because of its healing properties. Marula oil contains between 70-78% monounsaturated high-oleic acid along with potent antioxidants. Research is still ongoing to determine why the marula oil has such exceptional stability. It is thought to be due to its unique fatty acid profile. It is suspected there are antioxidants that have not yet been identified.

Chia seed oil contains polyunsaturated fatty acids including 15-25% linoleic acid and 60% alpha linolenic acid to maintain moisture in the skin. The high content of essential alpha-linolenic acid provides a vegetarian source for the body`s own EPA and DHA synthesis.

Pomegranate seed is a fatty oil with a high concentration of punicic acid, a valuable conjugated linolenic acid. Furthermore the extract contains tocopherols, sterols and a small amount of squalene. It is used for promoting skin regeneration, stimulating self-repair mechanisms, improving skin elasticity, reducing wrinkles and as prophylaxis against skin aging; calming and healing properties in case of irritated, dry, sensible, and allergic and itching skin.

Crambe oil consists of 55-60% erucic acid, a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid very beneficial to the skin. It is excellent oil for skin protection from dehydration.

Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil, Cardiospermum Halicacabum Flower/Leaf/Vine Extract, Tocopherol are combined create a soothing, anti-inflammatory complex used as first aid in sensitive skin. They protect and replenish the damaged skin barrier, reduce allergic reactions, reduce tissue damage resulting from mosquito bites, soothe the skin after shaving and epilation, and help alleviate atopic eczema.

Precious essential oils selected for their calming and nourishing properties provide a delicate scent.

Sclerocarya Birrea (Marula) Seed Oil:  Exceptionally stable, and thanks to its powerful fatty acid, nutrient, and antioxidant profile, is hydrating, noncomedogenic, antimictrobial, helps with acne, boosts cellular activity, hydrates at the deepest levels and repairs the skin.

Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil:  Rapidly penetrates the outer layers of the epidermis, deeply nourishing the skin providing a smooth, soft layer of protection against dehydration. Controls the over production of sebum.

Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Seed Oil:  Penetrates the skin, removes impurities, toxic matter, dirt and dead skin. Removes dark circles, good for sensitive skin, anti-aging and skin tone. Rich with Vitamin A, B, E.
