Safety Information

Applying right after shaving may cause skin irritation. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use. A "detox" may happen when switching from a tradition What if I get a rash or skin irritation? A rash can be due to the any of the following: 1) Detox reaction. This is your body expelling all the nasty ingredients from your previous toxic deodorant, and finally having the freedom to sweat naturally again. This type of rash clears up within 1 month. You can try to go without any deodorant whenever you can, or use the vinegar spray, below, while your body detoxes. 2) pH adjustment. For some, the deodorant will irritate the skin as the body adjusts to its pH levels. Sometimes this can even occur after having used the deodorant for some time. A simple remedy is to combine 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar with one cup of distilled water. Spray underarms. Let dry. Then apply deodorant. Repeat for a week. If this does not work, take 1 week off from the deodorant and use only the vinegar spray (which will help with odor, too). Begin using the deodorant again after a week has passed. 3) Skin irritation due to one of the ingredients. Your body could be sensitive to one of the natural ingredients. Lavender essential oil is irritating to some, Stop using if this is the case, and contact us at

Good scent for men and leaves no residue.

I stopped wearing deodorant 15 years ago and removed the buildup from my body, I don’t use this daily(my body doesn’t require it daily any more) but when I do it works really well, not at all overpowering as far as scent. Leaves no film on my skin or clothes. It can be clumpy if the product is too cool or stored in a cool place, in that case hold it in your armpit to soften for a bit so it glides on smooth.

Loving this Deodorant, plus a few tips

I can’t believe I’m one of the first people to write an Amazon review for a product! So excited!!! I even added the first pictures First off, I’m a fan of Green Tidings deodorant. I’ve tried at least 20 natural deodorants since I went all natural for skincare 10 years ago. I keep going back to Green Tidings even though it’s a pricier brand. It’s the only natural deodorant that keeps odor at bay for 24 hours. For years there appeared to be only two scents: unscented and lavender. I prefer the unscented, the lavender being a little strong for me. I was so excited when I searched Amazon and found there are multiple new scents. Of the new choices I went for Orange Vanilla, hoping it would smell like a creamsicle—Which It Does! If you prefer strong vanilla overtones you may be disappointed. It’s a very clean scent unisex fragrance. Also, the performance is great. Still works for 24+ hours. The scent does fade slightly over a day. Now, it is just a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, so you can get perspiration on a hot day or when working out. Also, remember that less is more when using deodorants with baking soda. 2 swipes on each underarm at most. I use one swipe on most work days. Too much application can lead to irritation. When first using a new stick it may be hard to apply because of the flat top. Just stick with it and it will conform to your body. I’ve also not gotten underarm build up on my shirts. No staining either. The scent and product wash out with no pretreatment. I’ve also noticed that it does not leave white marks on shirts. I love this new scent and my only regret is that I ordered 3 of the large Orange Vanilla (which could easily last 6 months), so it will be a looooonnnnggg time before I get to try a new scent (I want to try Vetiver Citrus or Jasmine Rose next). If you have irritation I would try the Unscented. Green Tidings has great customer service and you can email them your concerns. You can also google to learn about detoxing your underarms and adjusting your pH levels. I started my preteen on this deodorant hoping to limit her exposure to chemicals. She loves the scent and she had no adverse reactions to the product. Plus, she smells less “hormonal.” Thanks for taking time to read this long review. I hope you found it useful.
